초대의 글

순천향대학교병원 임상분자생물학연구소와 줄기세포칠센터 주관으로 "2007 Soon Chun Hyang Stem Cell Symposium"를 개최합니다.

줄기세포에 관한 연구는 많은 우여곡절을 겪고 있기는 하지만 향후 의학의 paradigm을 바꿀수 있는 가능성 때문에 많은 관심이 집중되고 있는 분야입니다. 또한 최근의 Cancer Stem Cell의 존재 가능성이 제기된 이 후 암 발생 과정에 대한 새로운 이해와 이를 근거로 암 치료의 표적이 Cancer stem Cell을 표적으로 하는 암치료법 개발 가능성이 조심스럽게 제기되고 있습니다.

이에 금년 순천향대학교병원 Stem Cell Symposium은 "Continuum of Stem Cell Research" 라는 주제하에 Cancer Stem Cell에 관한 연구 동향과 Embryonic Stem Cell과 Mesenchymal Stem Cell의 분화 연구를 주제로 국내외 최신 연구 동향에 관하여 토론하고자 합니다. 또한 그동안의 순천향대학교병원의 연구 결과에 대하여도 여러 연구자 분들께 소개하고자 합니다.

결실의 계절 9월에 암 및 줄기세포연구에 관심 있는 임상 및 기초 연구자 여러분을 순천향대학교병원 Stem Cell Symposium에 초대합니다. 부디 소중한 시간을 할애하여 많은 격려와 토론 부탁드립니다.
